Asia Argento and Ashton Whitty
Ashton Blaise Whitty was born on the 1st of October, 1995, in Berkeley, California, USA. She is an acclaimed actress who has appeared in Choices (2010). The Heart and Other Small Shapes (2006,) and Chrissie Mayr's Content House.
Asia Argento was raised in Rome by a film-maker and an actor family. The two professions she chose to pursue were her own. She made her debut when she was just nine years old in the film of Sergio Citti, Sogni e bisogni (1985). She was the principal character in Cristina Comencini's first feature film Zoo (1988) and as well as being part of Michele Soavi's cast in The Church (1989). Red Wood Pigeon, directed by Moretti in 1989, played her part as Nanni Moretti's little daughter. Close Friends, written and directed Michele Placido in 1992, was the film that launched Asia's career off. From playing young girl roles, she went on to more complicated and mature roles. The film was a hit during the Cannes International Film Festival. Trauma (1996) and The Stendhal Syndrome are others she's worked on with her famous father. The Phantom of the Opera is her third movie with her Father, the first two films being Trauma and The Stendhal Syndrome. Asia's focused and intense style of acting has also been used in the film by Giuseppe Piccioni in Condannato a Nozze. Patrice Chereau helmed Queen Margot in which she played a crucial part. Her 1995 collaboration with Michel Piccoli, in Peter Del Monte's Traveling Companion won her yet another David di Donatello award as well as Grolla of Oro. Asia began her career in 1994 as a director when she made two short films: Prospettive (1996), a document on her father, and Abel/Asia (1998) which was a documentary on the legendary filmmaker Abel Ferrara. The latter was awarded an award at the Rome Film Festival. Asia's feature-length debut came in the form of Scarlet Diva (2000) in 1999. She also was the lead actor and wrote the screenplay. The film was made available globally in the month of May. The film was honoured during the Williamsburg Festival of Brooklyn, New York. Anna Lou, the first of two daughters she has was born in the month of the month of January in 2001. In 2002, she appeared featured in The Red Siren directed by Olivier Megaton and starred alongside Jean-Marc Barr. Rob Cohen also directed the action thriller together with Vin Diesel. Asia also wrote several short stories which have been published by many magazines.
